ALEX KASICH BIO
Alex
Kasich is currently employed as a Branch Manager for Commerce Bank NA,
America's Most Convenient Bank®, headquartered in Cherry Hill, New
Jersey (www.commerceonline.com).
Previously, Alex was the owner of Alex
Kasich & Associates, an independent small business advisory
firm. Alex's
business advisory services were aimed at helping organizations make and
save money through greater efficiency and effectiveness. In
addition, Alex is an Executive Associate of the Institute for
Independent Business, a non-profit research and accreditation
organization committed to
helping small and medium sized businesses address and resolve their
individual business problems.
Alex
earned degrees of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
(BSBAd) and Master of Business Administration (MBA)
from West Virginia University, and has
19 years of experience as a senior business executive. Alex was
President of two organizations, Image Enhancement
Group, a promotional products manufacturer and distributor, and
Alexander Enterprises, an export trading company.
Alex also held positions as Chief
Operating Officer, Director of Finance, Product Consultant and
Commercial Salesman. Alex has experience in all
aspects of
business operation, including operations management, finance and
accounting, sales and marketing, strategic
planning, quality
control,
human resources management, and a genuine fascination for finding new
and better ways of doing things.
While
at West Virginia University, Alex
competed in intercollegiate athletics in cross country and track &
field and was an NCAA All-American in cross country. Upon leaving West
Virginia University, Nike, Inc. invited Alex to Eugene, Oregon, to
represent Nike as a member of their elite track and field club,
Athletics West.
During his running career, Alex competed at national
and international levels in cross country, track and field and road
racing. Accomplishments include an
American Record, two
world bests, two National Championships, 3-times U.S.
Olympic Trials Qualifier, and a
9th place finish at the 1981 New York City Marathon, with a time of
2:13:20.
